Meydan Free Zone Integrates Alaan to Boost Startup Finance in Dubai
Meydan Free Zone, the UAE’s only fully digital free zone, has announced a strategic partnership with Alaan, a top regional platform for corporate cards and expense automation. The collaboration brings startup finance tools into the core of every new business setup in Dubai, providing founders with instant control, visibility, and speed.
All startups registering with Meydan Free Zone before August 31, 2025, will receive 12 months of free access to Alaan’s premium plan. Valued at AED 6,000, this offer enhances startup finance with:
- Unlimited Visa corporate cards for founders and teams
- 2% cashback on global spend, including ads, SaaS, and digital services
- Alaan’s high-limit cashback on fuel, utilities, and government fees
“This partnership reflects our focus on delivering a founder-first ecosystem,” said Mohammad Bin Humaidan Al Falasi, Director of Free Zone Licensing at Meydan Free Zone. “By embedding Alaan’s automation tools into our platform, we empower startups to gain financial control from day one without delays or complexity.”
Empowering Dubai Startups with Smart Financial Tools
Alaan’s platform allows businesses to automate expense policies, match receipts instantly, extract VAT data, and integrate with top accounting software like SAP, Xero, and QuickBooks. These features support efficient startup finance and reduce manual work.
With 0% corporate tax for eligible firms, banking support, and more than 2,500 licensed activities, Meydan Free Zone also offers a digital business license setup in under 60 minutes via its Fawri license.
“Alaan was created to revolutionize how companies manage expenses,” said Shubhda Hirawat, Chief of Staff at Alaan. “Our partnership with Meydan Free Zone enables thousands of Dubai startups to scale faster and smarter without compliance issues slowing them down.”
Earlier this year, Alaan also expanded into Saudi Arabia. The platform now includes features for local tax compliance, workflow automation, and Arabic dashboards, perfectly aligning with Meydan Free Zone’s GCC-wide vision.
This initiative directly supports Dubai’s mission to fuel SME growth and strengthen its role as a global hub for innovation-led businesses. By embedding startup finance capabilities into the setup process, the partnership lets founders in tech, e-commerce, consulting, and digital sectors focus on scaling, not admin work.
