Hitachi Digital Services to Partner With Stripe to Upgrade Payment Infrastructure and Debut Joint Industry Event

Payment Infrastructure

Hitachi Digital Services recently announced a strategic partnership with Stripe. Both companies aim to transform enterprise Payment Infrastructure through this collaboration. They intend to simplify complex payment processes across several key industries.

The partnership initially focuses on the insurance sector. Plans are in place to expand into retail and hospitality markets soon. This joint effort creates a unified, streamlined solution for large organizations.

“Payments matter. They are a critical component to the customer experience and business health, as a small improvement in process can yield significant value. Yet, payments are often treated as a final step in the customer journey. By partnering with Stripe, we’re transforming static, cumbersome payment capabilities to be intelligent, dynamic assets, creating a seamless, frictionless process that improves conversion rates, reduces complexity, and enhances customer satisfaction,” said Rajashekar Busani, Chief Operations Officer, Hitachi Digital Services.

Modernizing Payment Infrastructure Systems

The team combines Hitachi Digital Services’ engineering expertise with Stripe’s advanced financial tools. This strategy addresses many inefficiencies found in traditional payment systems. Often, companies manage multiple fragmented vendors for their payment needs. Such complexity creates vulnerabilities and leads to poor customer experiences.

The innovation combines all necessary functionalities in one system. Organizations can keep on using their own CRMs, PASs, and ERP solutions despite adopting this new technology.

“This event is an opportunity to bring together some of the most influential voices in payments and insurance to discuss the industry’s future. It also represents a major milestone in building a collaborative ecosystem around modern payment infrastructure,” said Stewart Reeder, Head of Insurance, Hitachi Digital Services. “Hyper-efficient payment systems hold untapped potential that we intend to help insurance leaders unlock.”

The companies will host a joint industry event on April 30, 2026. This London-based event features leaders from firms like Visa, Mastercard, and Hastings Direct. They will discuss how AI changes the economics of insurance and digital distribution.
