IRALOGIX Strengthens Fraud, Cybersecurity, and AI Governance With Lisa Matthews

IRALOGIX

IRALOGIX has expanded its fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and AI governance capabilities by appointing Lisa Matthews as Vice President of Fraud and Risk. The fintech provider announced that Matthews will report to Chief Operations Officer Tom Albergo. Moreover, she will lead enterprise fraud prevention, cybersecurity risk management, and AI governance initiatives as the company continues expanding its platform and partner ecosystem.

The appointment reflects IRALOGIX’s continued focus on strengthening security across its retirement technology platform. As financial institutions face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, the company aims to enhance risk management while maintaining secure services for its partners and account holders.

Matthews joins IRALOGIX from Ally Financial, where she served as Senior Director of Cybersecurity Compliance. During her tenure, she led the organization’s enterprise AI regulatory readiness strategy. In addition, she established the company’s first Insider Threat Governance Council. Her background includes extensive experience in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and institutional risk management across major financial organizations.

“As our platform continues to grow, so does our responsibility to protect the financial institutions and account holders who rely on us every day,” said Peter de Silva, CEO of IRALOGIX. “Lisa brings an exceptional combination of cybersecurity expertise, regulatory experience, and strategic vision at a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping both the opportunities and the risks facing our industry. Her leadership will help ensure IRALOGIX continues to stay ahead of an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape while delivering the trusted, secure experience our partners expect.”

Before joining Ally Financial, Matthews held senior leadership positions at Wells Fargo and Bank of America. During those roles, she led global insider threat investigations and contributed to developing one of the banking industry’s first patented behavioral analytics models for insider risk detection. Consequently, she has built significant expertise in protecting financial institutions against evolving threats.

Leadership Supports Secure Retirement Technology Growth

Throughout her career, Matthews has collaborated with regulatory agencies, including the SEC, FinCEN, the FBI, and the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority. Furthermore, she has earned recognition for her leadership in AI governance, cybersecurity, insider threat management, and fraud prevention. She also participates in several financial services working groups that address emerging technology risks. In 2024, she was invited to speak at the G7 Summit on AI Safety and Security.

Matthews said she chose IRALOGIX because of its commitment to innovation and its opportunity to shape the future of secure retirement technology.

“Retirement technology is entering a period of tremendous innovation, but innovation must always be matched by trust,” Matthews said. “I’m excited to join IRALOGIX at such an important stage of its growth and help advance the company’s fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and AI governance capabilities. As AI continues to reshape financial services, organizations that successfully balance innovation with security will be best positioned to earn and maintain the trust of their partners and account holders.”

The appointment comes as financial institutions respond to rapidly evolving fraud threats driven by synthetic identities, deepfakes, and AI-enabled cybercrime. Therefore, IRALOGIX continues investing in experienced leadership to strengthen its security framework. Matthews is widely recognized for contributing to industry frameworks that assess emerging AI-related threats while supporting stronger regulatory compliance.

“Lisa’s experience spans global financial institutions, regulatory engagement, and some of the industry’s most innovative work in AI risk management,” said Tom Albergo, Chief Operations Officer of IRALOGIX. “She understands both the technical and operational dimensions of fraud prevention and brings exactly the kind of forward-thinking leadership we need as we continue to scale our platform and expand the services we provide to our partners.”

Matthews will be based in IRALOGIX’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office, where she will lead the company’s expanding fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and AI governance strategy
