BitGo Strengthens Asia Pacific Commitment with New Singapore Office

Singapore Office

BitGo Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“BitGo Singapore”) has opened a new Singapore office. BitGo Holdings, Inc. owns the subsidiary. BitGo operates as a digital asset infrastructure company. The new BitGo Singapore office strengthens its presence across Asia Pacific. Singapore will continue serving as the Company’s regional hub. The expansion follows BitGo Singapore’s Major Payment Institution (MPI) licence approval. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) granted the licence in August 2024. Since receiving the licence, BitGo Singapore has expanded its local workforce significantly. Its headcount has more than doubled during this period. Meanwhile, BitGo’s client base across Asia Pacific has tripled.

The Company now serves a broad range of clients across the region. Its client base includes governments and regulated financial institutions. It also includes payment service providers and fintechs. Additionally, BitGo works with digital asset businesses across Asia Pacific. High-net-worth and accredited investors also form part of its regional client base.

“Two years ago, BitGo Singapore received its MPI license from MAS, and since then, we have built a real home for BitGo in the region,” said Angela Ang, Managing Director, APAC and President, BitGo Singapore. “We believe the growth we’ve seen since then comes down to something simple — institutions across the region are trusting us with more of their business, more often. Our job is to be that steady hand to help our clients navigate the future of finance. As institutional digital asset adoption accelerates across the region, Singapore’s regulatory rigor and thriving financial ecosystem provide a strong foundation for BitGo’s continued growth in APAC.”

The new BitGo Singapore office will further support the Company’s regional operations. It also reflects growing institutional demand for regulated digital asset infrastructure.

Singapore Drives BitGo Prime Growth

Singapore also hosts BitGo Prime’s largest trading desk. BitGo Prime serves as the Company’s institutional trading and financing business. The platform connects clients with global liquidity through an extensive network. This network includes exchanges, market makers, and liquidity providers. Furthermore, BitGo Prime combines trading services with BitGo’s custody infrastructure. This approach allows institutions to access trading and custody capabilities through an integrated platform.

Trading activity has also increased substantially in Singapore. BitGo Prime’s Singapore trading volumes more than doubled during the first half of 2026. The Company compared those volumes with the same period in 2025. The increase highlights Singapore’s growing importance within BitGo’s institutional business. The growth also points to broader activity across the Asia Pacific digital asset market. Institutions continue seeking infrastructure that supports digital asset activity within regulated environments.

“Singapore puts us where our Asia Pacific clients are and connects them to the same global liquidity network we offer institutions around the world,” said Stefan von Haenisch, Managing Director and Head of BitGo Prime. “The growth of the desk here is a reflection of the increasingly important role Asia Pacific plays in BitGo’s global business.”

BitGo sees Singapore as an important connection point for regional clients. The market also provides access to a strong financial ecosystem. In addition, Singapore’s regulatory environment supports institutional participation in digital assets. This environment gives companies a structured foundation for expanding financial technology services.

BitGo Plans Further Hiring in Singapore

The new BitGo Singapore office will support additional hiring across several functions. The Company plans to expand client coverage and business operations roles in Singapore. This hiring activity will help BitGo respond to institutional demand across Asia Pacific. It will also strengthen the Company’s ability to serve clients throughout the region.

BitGo continues building its regional presence as institutional digital asset adoption grows. The Company is focusing on regulated digital asset infrastructure to support this demand. Meanwhile, its Singapore operations connect regional clients with BitGo’s wider global capabilities. These capabilities include custody infrastructure and institutional trading services.

The Company’s regional expansion is a continuation of its growth post-acquisition of the MPI licence. Since 2024 it has expanded its workforce and diversified its clientele. BitGo Prime’s surge in trading volumes is another indicator of Singapore’s importance. It also strengthens the increasing importance of Asia Pacific in BitGo’s global operations.

Going forward, BitGo will be building out its Singapore presence. The new office will bring more support for clients and business operations. The Company will also continue to add to its staffing levels as demand in the region grows. The efforts will help BitGo to solidify its position in regulated digital asset infrastructure.

Overall, the expansion is another step in BitGo’s Asia Pacific strategy. Singapore will continue to serve as a vital regional hub as the adoption of digital resources by institutions grows.
