Google Cloud has officially unveiled Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, launching a purpose-built agentic AI platform for global markets.
The solution provides specialized tools to automate complex workflows within capital markets and corporate banking divisions. Gemini Enterprise also includes a Google-hosted Financial Research agent. This agent comes with more than 50 custom skills and 13 enterprise data connectors. That means institutions may optimize multi-step processes while maintaining data lineage.
Google Cloud also announced a similar offering for the legal industry as part of its packaged industry capabilities. But the conventional tools do not have the regulatory controls needed to protect capital. Speed is the name of the game. Thus, Gemini Enterprise directly satisfies these compliance requirements, with auditable data snapshots. Major institutions, including CME Group and Deutsche Bank, have already deployed the technology during its initial preview phase.
Moreover, this release builds on broader adoption by BNY, Citi Wealth, Lloyds Banking Group, Macquarie Bank, and Signal Iduna.
“Financial professionals are looking for an AI platform that doesn’t lock them into any one model or ecosystem, connects to the IT systems they use every day, and is highly secure and compliant,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud. “With Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, we are delivering exactly that agentic capabilities for financial workflows, built with verifiable data explainability, so institutions can turn AI innovation into a confident competitive advantage.”
The solution integrates natively with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments. Thus, analysts export structured findings directly into Docs, Sheets, Slides, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Core Capabilities and Ecosystem Integrations
The enterprise platform comprises five core technical components designed for quick operational deployment:
- Financial Research Agent: Automates complex analytical tasks with verifiable source citations, explicit methodology, and confidence scoring. Users connect via the main application or Agent-to-Agent (A2A) APIs with Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
- Purpose-Built Financial Skills: 50+ pre-built shortcuts that standardize workflow tasks including portfolio monitoring, credit risk evaluation, and investigative research.
- Enterprise Connectors: Native integrations to licensed data sources including FactSet, Moody’s, S&P Global, PitchBook, LSEG, Dun & Bradstreet, MSCI, Daloopa, Finnhub, Fiscal.ai, Guidepoint, CoinDesk Data & Indices, SEC Edgar filings
- Partner Ecosystem: Connect with specialized third-party agents from D&B, FlowX, Obin Financial, and S & P Global to automate KYC compliance, commercial lending, and loan pack reconciliation.
- Governability Control Plane: Native governance features with risk management tools, audit logging, and strong cloud security controls.
Capital Markets and Institutional Banking Streamlining
Gemini Enterprise allows financial teams to automate key operational bottlenecks:
- Advisor Insights: Relationship managers develop customized suggestions for clients and individualized investment artifacts.
- KYC Analysis: Modernizes onboarding through analyzing multi-format files to map corporate hierarchy and discover ultimate beneficial owners.
- Portfolio resilience: Trading desks can dissect complex bond exposure in under five minutes as macroeconomic shifts occur.
- Credit Opportunities: Identifies pricing discrepancies to isolate trade ideas while lowering back-office underwriting latency.
- Bond Issuance: Fixed-income teams compress client pitch deck creation timelines from days to minutes.
“As a design partner, Deutsche Bank has helped shape this capability in view of the realities of a highly regulated industry from data protection and governance to the workflows our teams use every day,” said Marie-Jeanne Deverdun, Chief Technology, Data and Innovation Officer, and Member of the Deutsche Bank Management Board. “Starting in the Corporate Bank, we see significant potential to reduce manual research effort, improve the consistency and auditability of outputs, and give our teams more time for client conversations. This is an important step in applying AI where it can make a practical difference: safely, responsibly and at scale.”
Global institutions are using Gemini Enterprise to safely increase productivity. In the Corporate Bank, Deutsche Bank uses the Financial Research agent to determine client needs and accelerate deal delivery. The bank is also considering using Gemini Enterprise for financial crime risk management and scenario forecasting.
Finally, Google Cloud works with leading systems integrators including Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Cognizant, Infosys, and NTT Data to help support global deployments.
