Ondo Finance Appoints Allison Parent as Chief Policy Officer to Lead Global Regulatory Strategy

Ondo Finance

Today Ondo Finance announced a major leadership change. The firm has hired Allison Parent as its new Chief Policy Officer. As a consequence, the company’s global regulatory strategy will fall under the purview of Ondo Finance Chief Policy Officer Parent. Her appointment also strengthens Ondo’s foray into onchain capital markets. Parent brings decades of experience in financial markets, global policy. She has, in fact, advised governments, regulators and central bankers throughout her career. She has also been deeply involved with major financial institutions in key regulatory environments.

Parent comes to Ondo from the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA). She’s been Executive Director there since 2017. She served in that capacity as counsel to major financial and capital markets firms around the world. Before GFMA, she was at Barclays in London, where she headed up Global Policy and Strategy. She was formerly Senior Policy Adviser at the Bank of England. She was also Director, Government Policy and Finance at Barclays in Washington, DC. Parent also served as General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on the Budget. During this time, she advised on landmark legislation including TARP and the Dodd-Frank Act.

Industry Recognition & Regulatory Impact

In addition to her corporate roles, Parent has also held a number of public advisory roles. For example, she served on the Advisory Forum on Cyber Incident Reporting for the Financial Stability Board. She also served on the IOSCO Associate Members Consultative Committee. She also served on the CFTC’s Digital Markets Subcommittee.

Ondo Finance has been developing infrastructure for tokenization of onchain markets for years. So this hire is the next step in the company’s growth. “As tokenized assets become part of mainstream finance, collaboration with regulators is critical. Clear market standards will ultimately propel institutional adoption around the world.

“Throughout my career, I’ve seen how global alignment of regulatory outcomes  can unlock new distribution channels and accessibility rather than constrain it. Tokenization is the most significant advancement  in market infrastructure in a generation, and getting the regulatory foundation and necessary industry standards right will determine how quickly its benefits reach investors and institutions globally. Balanced regulatory policy involves weighing growth and innovation with market integrity, consumer protection, and overall financial stability. Ondo Finance has the infrastructure in place and I’m excited to support   unlocking the full potential of  onchain markets.” — Allison Parent, Chief Policy Officer, Ondo Finance

Rapid Growth Fuels Regulatory Expansion

This appointment follows strong momentum for Ondo’s tokenized stocks. Notably, these assets surpassed $1 billion in total value locked within eight months. Meanwhile, Ondo secured authorization from Liechtenstein’s Financial Market Authority, enabling EU and EEA passporting. Additionally, its digital securities became the first to be admitted under ADGM’s FSRA framework via Binance’s trading facility. The company also received FINRA authorizations through subsidiary Oasis Pro Markets. Going forward, Parent will lead policy engagement as this global footprint continues expanding.
