Freedom Holding Corp. has partnered with Ant International’s Antom to enhance cross-border payments and enable online shopping for consumers in Kazakhstan. The partnership is a further step to grow digital payment services and boost financial connectivity between Kazakhstan and China.
On July 16, 2026, during the meeting, Timur Turlov, CEO of Freedom Holding Corp., held a meeting with representatives of the world fintech industry. As part of the discussions, Freedom Bank signed Memoranda of Understanding with Antom, a leading merchant payment and digitalisation service provider under Ant International. The agreement is aimed at developing innovative payment solutions that will make cross-border payments faster, easier and safer for consumers across Kazakhstan.
The partnership will enable Antom to add the Freedom Bank SuperApp as a supported payment option across China’s top e-commerce platforms. This will make shopping easier for consumers in Kazakhstan when they buy products from Chinese retailers and globally recognized brands. They will also be able to do their transactions in their preferred domestic payment method without any undue complexity.
Besides, the initiative will contribute to meeting the increasing demand for digital commerce between Kazakhstan and China. It also provides more convenience for customers who shop regularly on international online platforms.
Freedom Bank SuperApp Extends Global Payments Reach
Antom is a leading global merchant payment provider supporting more than 300 local payment methods. The platform connects merchants and consumers in 200+ markets and supports transactions in 100+ currencies. The partnership will significantly broaden the international payment choices offered through the Freedom Bank SuperApp.
Antom will also help connect the SuperApp to a wider network of global merchants in the future. Meanwhile, both the organisations would continue to explore more opportunities to augment digital payment services and expand cross-border commerce across global markets.
“Today, we are opening new horizons for our clients and the business communities of both countries. Integrating our ecosystem with China’s e-commerce platforms through Ant International’s Antom is our response to the demands of the modern era and the growing trade volume with China. We are building a financial infrastructure where state borders no longer limit access to cross-border e-commerce. For Freedom SuperApp users, transactions on Chinese platforms will become as transparent, secure, and instantaneous as domestic transfers. This is a logical step in Freedom’s global strategy,” commented Timur Turlov, CEO of Freedom Holding Corp.
The collaboration also reflects the increasing importance of localized payment experiences in global e-commerce. By combining international payment infrastructure with trusted domestic financial services, both companies aim to improve customer convenience while supporting merchants seeking broader market access.
“Our partnership with Freedom Bank reflects our shared commitment to making cross-border commerce more accessible through trusted local payment experiences,” said Gary Liu, CEO of Antom, Senior Vice President of Ant International. “By enabling Freedom Bank SuperApp users to shop seamlessly on China’s e-commerce platforms, and eventually across our vast network of global merchants, we are bringing the world closer to Kazakhstan’s digital-savvy consumers while unlocking more growth opportunities for businesses.”
The agreement reinforces the shared vision of Freedom Holding Corp. and Antom to advance cross-border payments, encourage digital commerce, and provide secure payment experiences that meet the evolving expectations of modern consumers.
