Lincoln Financial Launches First Capital Group ETF Strategy for Fixed Indexed Annuities

First Capital Group ETF

Lincoln Financial announced a new investment option. They introduced the First Capital Group ETF strategy for annuities. This is the first Capital Group ETF indexed account option for Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIAs). The new offering is the 1 Year Capital Group Dividend Value (CGDV) ETF Participation account. Lincoln OptiBlend® is the only FIA to offer this. It tracks the performance of the CGDV benchmark. This gives investors unique access to active management. It also provides diversified equity exposure. Furthermore, it combines this with complete 100% downside protection. CGDV is the largest Capital Group active ETF. It manages over $19 billion in total assets.

Stephen Turer, president of Annuity Solutions at Lincoln Financial, discussed how this new product meets specific investor needs.

“Investors today want solutions that combine growth potential with strong protection. This new participation account helps meet those specific needs. We pair Capital Group’s active management expertise with a Lincoln FIA. Investors can uniquely seek outperformance. They still maintain 100% downside protection. This helps them feel confident about their financial future.”

A Decades-Long Partnership

CGDV has an experienced management team. The ETF seeks to deliver consistent returns easily. It focuses on large, established U.S. companies. These firms either pay dividends or have that potential. Since its inception, CGDV has outpaced the S&P 500. It also outperformed 99% of other ETFs in its category. Capital Group is a highly trusted asset manager. They were named etf.com 2025 ETF Issuer of the Year.

The First Capital Group ETF option builds on a long history. Lincoln and Capital Group have partnered since 1987. They have worked together to improve outcomes for investors. This new crediting strategy marks a natural evolution. It provides access to actively managed expertise. This factor matters in a market dominated by passive strategies. The First Capital Group ETF is available exclusively with Lincoln OptiBlend® FIAs.

Jason A. Uberti, a senior manager at Capital Group, leads Insurance Product Management for the firm.

“Lincoln and Capital Group have always fostered a strong, collaborative partnership. We focused on improving investor outcomes since 1987. We are proud to continue evolving together. We deliver innovative solutions that address many investor needs. Adding strategies that track CGDV to Lincoln’s FIA is a natural step.”

Investors must remember the annuity tracks performance. It does not offer direct investment in the ETF itself. Indexed interest comes from a crediting strategy. It does not guarantee an exact match to the ETF’s performance.
