Steward Partners Appoints Keith Taylor as Chairman of the Board

Steward Partners

Keith Taylor is now the new Chairman of the Board at Steward Partners. He replaces Michael McMahon, who is retiring from his formal role. The employee-owned independent firm announced this major leadership change on January 2. Taylor has served on the board of the firm since 2019. He also holds aleadership role at The Cynosure Group.

The transition comes during a period of rapid growth for the company. Steward Partners recently ranked ninth on the Barron’s Top 100 RIA Firms list. The firm managed nearly $46 billion in client assets as of late 2025. Taylor brings over twenty years of experience in the private equity sector. He has worked with top firms like Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan.

Strategic Leadership for Future Growth

Company leaders expect this change to strengthen their national presence. Taylor understands the culture of partnership that defines the firm. He will help the company expand and modernize its wealth management platform. His deep industry expertise will guide the board during this next chapter.

“Keith has been a trusted partner to Steward Partners from the moment our relationship began,” said Jim Gold, Chief Executive Officer at the firm. “As a Board member, he has consistently brought clarity, conviction, and deep industry expertise to every discussion,” Gold added. “Keith has always had a sharp appreciation for what makes Steward different, our people, our culture of partnership, and our long-term mindset,” said Hy Saporta, President and Chief Operating Officer.

The firm continues to earn many industry awards for its workplace culture. It appears on the Inc. 5000 list for the fifth time. Furthermore, the firm remains a top choice for wealth advisors across the nation. This leadership move ensures the firm stays focused on long-term success.
