Flexible Payments are expanding in the vision care sector as Klarna partners with EZContacts. The partnership is bringing about various payment possibilities for US customers shopping for eyewear products.
Klarna, which is a digital bank and payments company, now works with EZContacts in transactions. Consumers can easily purchase their sunglasses, contact lenses, and prescription eyewear. Furthermore, Flexible Payments enable consumers to select suitable payment alternatives according to their budgets.
“Our partnership with EZContacts demonstrates Klarna’s commitment to expanding into specialized retail verticals where consumers expect flexibility without compromise,” said David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna. “Vision care is a planned purchase, and customers value the ability to manage costs through structured payments rather than traditional credit.”
Vision care can still be anticipated by many customers in terms of payment. Nonetheless, conventional credit cards continue to prevail in this segment. For this reason, the collaboration seeks to provide customers with better choices. Customers can choose from options such as paying in full, paying later, or splitting their payments into installments. Besides, there is the provision of interest-free methods, including pay in 30 days and four installments. This is in addition to the provision of longer-term financing methods where necessary.
“EZContacts has always put the customer first. We carry a large range of high-quality contact lenses, eyewear, and sunglasses, and we operate on razor-thin margins to keep them accessible,” said Rafael Sarim Oezdemir, Head of Growth at EZContacts. “Partnering with Klarna is a natural extension of that commitment. It gives our customers honest, transparent payment options at checkout, with no hidden fees. That way, they can get the eyewear they need, when they need it.”
